Soccer Starlets was launched in 2020 to help introduce much more female participation into playing football for the very first time in the Morley / Leeds community.
We also welcome girls who already play football to help further progress on their current ability.
Our classes cater for mixed abilities aged between 5 to 14 years olds.
Our aim is to help develop & improve their footballing techniques from our training Sessions provided via ball mastery skills & in-game scenarios to help them when playing inhouse / competetive matches.
We also promote multi sports & arranged activities to keep our players engaged & happy which is much needed, this side of the post Covid era.
Our goal is to introduce predominantly girls of mixed abilities in a Fun, non-pressurised environment.
For new starters, we kick-off their footballing journey with a hope they continue to progress & play with a vision of one day playing Grassroots.
We also hope to reintroduce girls back into playing football after they may have had their confidence & belief knocked after a bad experience when playing in a mainly boys Grassroots team or football school.
Historically as this is a male dominated sport, we aim to close the gap as best we can though-out the Morley / Leeds for female participation.

Along with this we also promote multi sports & activities throughout the year to help our participants furthermore increase their fitness, health & mental well-being which has been vital coming out of lockdown from Covid.
From my own experience, playing Sports creates self-confidence along with communication / social skills, which is key when trying to make new friends.

Personal note...my coaching days of 10 years at Grassroots Football UK are now finally over, but will forever take the best experience I could have ever hoped for, including lifelong pals.
Best & main advice I can give to a new coach, is to give every player equal game as much as possible, as the kids & coaches reap the rewards in the long run 👍
Personally preferred to coach loyal local kids, that turned up every week & gave their best in training & match days.
Chasing out of town talent to win a shiny 🏆 was never my bag.
